Who are you agreeing with?
You’re agreeing with Rent Party’s operator, Ahsan Mahmood, an individual (sole trader) based in Pakistan. In these terms, “we” means the Rent Party team.
Who can use Rent Party?
Anyone aged 13 and over.
You don’t need an account for pass-and-play or CPU games. To play online, keep cloud saves and earn coins, you sign in with Google, and you’re responsible for what happens on your account, so keep that Google account secure. Each person may have one Rent Party account.
What’s free, and what do plans add?
The whole game is free to play. Pro and Family only raise limits, like how many online games you can run at once. The pricing page shows each plan’s price and limits, and both can change.
How do you buy a plan?
Plans are sold only on the Rent Party website. The Android app shows your plan but doesn’t sell one.
Checkout explains how to pay. Once you’ve paid, you report the payment there with its reference so the team can check it by hand. A new plan starts the day the team confirms it and runs one month for each month you paid for. Months you buy for a plan you already hold are added to its end, at the seat count it already has if it’s a Family plan. A plan doesn’t renew on its own.
If the team can’t confirm a payment, your plan stays as it was and we email you to say so. You can write to us from the Help page with the payment reference.
How does a Family plan work?
Family is paid per seat, and every member gets Family’s limits while they’re in it. Whoever buys it manages it: they invite members by email and can remove a member or hand the plan to another member, but they can’t leave it themselves. A Family invite expires after 7 days.
Can you get a refund?
No. Plans bought on the website are not refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. That includes time left on a plan when you delete your account.
What happens when a plan ends?
Your account moves to Free. Online games already running play on to the end, and Free’s limits only block starting new ones. Cloud saves and replays above Free’s limits become read-only until a plan covers them again, and nothing is deleted.
What are bucks and coins worth?
Nothing outside the game.
Bucks are play money that lives inside one game and ends with it. Coins are earned in Rent Party, for example from online and CPU games, badges, daily challenges and friend invites. You spend them on tokens, boards, dice skins and frames, which change how the game looks and never change the rules or how the dice roll.
You can’t buy coins with money, sell them, give them to another player or exchange them for anything outside the game. If a balance is wrong, we can correct it. Every correction is recorded. Coins and your collection are deleted with your account.
What do friend invites earn?
When a friend signs up through your invite link, or enters your invite code within an hour of signing up, and their email address is confirmed, you earn 50 coins and a badge. Every 3 confirmed invites also earns a month of Pro, up to 6 months of plan time in any 365 days; past that cap, each confirmed invite still earns the coins and the badge.
On Free, a month of Pro starts at once. On a plan with an end date, it’s added to the end. On any other plan with no end date, it’s added when that plan ends.
We can change these rewards or switch the program off, and what you’ve already earned stays on your account. We can also cancel an invite that breaks these terms: it stops counting toward a reward, rewards already given stay, and where you see your invites, it shows as canceled by the team, with the team’s reason.
How do you play fair?
Don’t cheat. That means no tampering with the game, its servers or anyone else’s account, no exploiting bugs and no trying to overload or get around how online play works. If you find a bug that helps you win, tell us from the Help page instead.
Rent Party applies the same rules for everyone, and the how-to-play page explains them.
What happens if you leave a game or miss turns?
Leaving an online game counts as a forfeit, paused or not. The rest of the table is counting on you to come back and take your turns, so these rules come with your seat:
- A missed turn is played for you with safe moves and counts as a strike. 2 strikes in a row forfeit a game over days, and 3 forfeit a live game.
- A paused game holds your seat for 14 days. After that, the ready players can start a 48-hour final call. Anyone still not ready when it ends forfeits.
- If nobody starts a final call, the game closes, unrated, after 21 days.
- A forfeit returns your deeds to the bank for auction, and in a rated game it counts as a loss.
What can you say in names, rooms and chat?
Keep it family-friendly, because Rent Party is for players 13 and over. That goes for display names, room names and chat. Don’t harass anyone, don’t spam and don’t post anything illegal.
A filter checks chat and room names against a list of blocked words. Chat messages are limited to 200 characters and 10 messages a minute. The team can switch text chat off while emotes and quick-chat phrases keep working.
How do reports and blocks work?
You can report a profile, a chat message or a room. Reports are private both ways: the player you report never learns who reported them, and you won’t see the outcome. The team reviews every report.
Blocking a player hides their chat from you and yours from them, ends any friendship between you, stops friend requests and keeps them from watching games you play in. Neither of you can join a room the other hosts. Games already under way carry on.
What happens when someone breaks these rules?
Depending on what happened, the team can take one of the steps below, and each one shows you what was done:
| What the team can do | How you learn of it |
|---|
| Warn you | A notice in your inbox carries the team’s note. |
|---|
| Change your display name and lock it | Your profile shows the new name and says the team has locked it. |
|---|
| Mute your chat until a set time | In chat, a line says you’re muted and until when. |
|---|
| Take your name off the leaderboard | A line on the leaderboard gives the team’s reason. |
|---|
| Suspend your account until a set date | Signing in shows the end date and the team’s reason. |
|---|
| Delete an account that breaks these terms | An email to the account’s address gives the team’s reason. |
|---|
A suspension doesn’t forfeit your games by itself. Turns you miss while you’re suspended still count as strikes, so a long enough suspension can still forfeit a game, as “What happens if you leave a game or miss turns?” explains.
If a step looks like a mistake, write to us from the Help page, which works while you’re signed out.
Who owns the game?
Rent Party’s name, board, cards, tokens, characters, art and sounds belong to its operator, Ahsan Mahmood. You’re welcome to share invite links, Watch links and result cards.
What you write stays yours. By posting it in Rent Party, you let us show it to the players it’s meant for and keep it for as long as the privacy page says.
Can the game change or go offline?
We change Rent Party over time, including its features, boards, prices, limits and settings. A change to rule values such as taxes or the salary never reaches a game that’s already started, because each room keeps the rules it began with.
Online play has a monthly capacity. When it’s full, new online games may have to wait while pass-and-play and CPU games keep working on your device. We may also switch off online play, the shop, cloud saves and payments for maintenance. While online play is down, every online clock stands still, so nobody loses a turn to downtime: turn deadlines, pause holds and final calls all wait until play is back.
Who’s responsible if something goes wrong?
We work to keep Rent Party running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of bugs. Rent Party is provided as is. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses from using it.
Which law applies?
These terms are governed by the law of Pakistan, and any dispute about them is settled in the courts of Pakistan.
How will you know these terms changed?
When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them.
